Water is always cold rent a kayak and enjoy what God gave us. The spillway was on the day I took these pictures . Water is not moving this fast on most days .

Great view. For camping or RV's. Small, out of the way. Cell reception on AT&T. No showers here. Electric and water connections at some camp/RV sites. Quiet and peaceful!!!! Boat ramp for canoes/kayaks only. We visit twice a year, every year for 4-5 days. GREAT trout fishing, esp. in spring. Fishermen/women bring waders, if you want for fishing.

We went to this park last weekend, had a below average time. The campsites were littered with trash. We had to clean up dozens of beer cans and assorted trash before we could set up our tent. The restrooms were horrible, no running water and a hole in the ground with an elevated toilet seat. The other visitors were loud, obnoxious drunken buffoons who stayed up playing music until 3am. Tried to fish but the constant stream of kayaks from the local rental agencies ensured that I couldn't cast out farther than four feet from the bank. Left early, hope this isn't the typical experience. Drove 3 hours for a huge letdown.

Loved this place, a great get away. Floating the river was fun. Next time I'll be trying my luck at fishing. I most definitely will be going back.

Great place for primitive camping. Fishing is good if you know what you're doing. Wildlife and scenery are abundant. Love this place
